Task Description.

You are to write a 500 - 600 word feature article for a broadsheet newspaper. The article is to examine Australia's changing policies and attitudes to immigration after World War II to the present.


You are to include:
  • two visual sources which have accompanying captions.
  • two written sources which may be incorporated in the article as a quotation.

The following concepts are to be included in the article:

  1. Assimilation
  2. Integration
  3. Multiculturalism

A bibliography must be attached.

You will be marked on your ability to:
  • Create a well structured text appropriate to the task.
  • Show an understanding of the reasons for the changes to Australia's immigration policy.
  • Use and incorporate source material to support your article.

  • Do not hand in a plastic sleeve.
